Harden Family Farms/ Farm Soapery

Harden Family Farms is a family-owned, USDA Certified Organic and regenerative farm in Westminster, Maryland, where Sharon and Dave Harden are working to restore the land while creating food and handcrafted goods rooted in the farm itself.

Sharon is the creative force behind Farm Soapery, transforming ingredients and inspiration from the farm into small-batch goat-milk and tallow soaps, hand-poured soy and beeswax candles, preserves, bath and body products, and other seasonal creations. Milk comes from the farm’s Nigerian Dwarf goats, beeswax and honey from its Italian honey bees, and many of the herbs and botanicals are grown in the farm’s organic gardens.

The Hardens believe that what we grow and make should reflect the health of the land it comes from. Their historic Westminster farm is home to heritage chickens, Babydoll sheep, Nigerian Dwarf goats, honey bees, organic gardens, pollinator habitat, and a restored 1890s bank barn. Everything they do is guided by a simple philosophy: grown with purpose, crafted with care, and made to leave the land better than they found it.
